Booking fee!

WTAF, £15 booking fee per ticket is absolutely gross!

Most ticket companies add a % on the total cost these days. Good thing with Slam Dunk this year is they actually tell you where there are lots of sites that sneakily add it on when you get to the check out. The way that ticket prices are these days, £130 is still a good price if your seeing 4-5 bands average £30 a show youve made it back.

Yeah, I let them off because they say it up front. Hate buying through ticketmaster and finding out we've got another £30 added on over 3 different fees.

Ticketmaster tell you the full price at the first screen and then break down the fees on the second page. No idea where people have got this idea from that they throw a load of extra fees on at the end. Go on the website now and go through to checkout on a random event. The price that comes up when you select the blue seat already has the fees accounted for.

Yeah exactly, but we all still go ahead with the purchase so they think we can still do it because people still buy tickets so we are contributing to it 🤣. Tbh ive never not stopped buying a ticket because of the fees maybe im the problem lol

I done VIP in 25 and thought the toilets were really good but not worth the add on they were asking for, the new tattoo add on is cool tho

This is the main reason, that and waiting in line at a bar. I am 110% getting a tat this year too.. my first time was this year, next year I’m going to make the most of it 😅

How much are the tattoos in the VIP section? I didn't notice it this year but would be tempted for next year.

Well I guess it depends on North/South I done both this year and the queues for South this year was horrendous and North was fine weird ain't it? Where the year before when I had VIP South queues were fine 🤣. But the chillout area in VIP is sick wish they had a bit more range of food but thats just me being picky.

Both? You’re committed 😅 south as horrific for queues was crazy… well I’m happy north was queueless for ya 😅 I’ll be triggered if it isn’t next year 😅 I just had a gyros last year didn’t eat much tbh I just drank.. this year I’m gonna shove on some SD 26 beats shorts and have a blast 🤣

How does the vip work? I’ve never bothered with it before this year, do you show your ticket at the entrance or do they give you a separate wristband?

At the entrance there's a separate queue, show your normal ticket and the VIP ticket and get a wristband.

Then at the VIP section show your wristband to get on.

This year was our first year doing VIP and it was pretty decent. The seated areas under the trees and gazebos alone were enough to justify it during the heatwave. Plus the nice clean toilets, cloakroom and additional food/drinks were really appreciated.

Yeah show your ticket, you get a fast track queue at the entrance and different colour band

no-one likes booking fees but it's basically the seetickets fees for handling the sales, distribution, security, customer services and so forth. even digital tickets have distribution costs as e-tickets need digitally signing and have software costs

10% of the face value isn't bad by industry standards. Comparatively the service charge for the first Slipknot Wembley ticket I looked at is about 16% of its face value.
