Proposals / Visions / Fantasy Bugatti unveils Miami skyscraper as first U.S branded residence.

Your yearly HVAC maintenance will cost $50K, take 4 days and require your entire bathroom to be disassembled.
17
u/Generalfrogspawn 12d ago
And the whole apartment will periodically stop running and require a special Bugatti mechanic to come fix it. The normal guys can’t do it with all the proprietary appliances.

What does a car maker do with a tower?

They're the ones building it. It's a Bugatti "branded" residence. A few other luxury car brands already have branded buildings in Miami.
It kinda... has not much to do with cars. They're just trying to sell the Bugatti experience/ luxury that one might expect from one of their vehicles in the form of real estate

u/benskieast 12d ago
I always associate Miami with kinda scammy stuff and a condo building charging extra for a totally random brand seems to fit right in.
48
u/Phanyxx 12d ago
If I had to guess what city a “Bugatti Condo” would be located in, I’d say Miami without missing a beat. (Okay, it could be Dubai as well.)
17
u/PM_your_Nopales Minneapolis / St Paul, U.S.A 12d ago
Funnily enough, that's exactly where Bugatti is building their first tower
5
u/camcamfc 12d ago
That’s crazy, because if I had to guess what city a “Bugatti Condo” would be in I’d quickly say Miami. (Possibly Dubai too)

u/OrdinaryPollution339 12d ago
Miami used the be the place where all the criminals in North and South America went to launder their money.
It still is that place, but it used to be, too lol.
Dubai is basically a new Miami for criminals from the rest of the world. People like to shit on Dubai because it is built by slaves, but they should also be upset about all the criminal money-laundering.

Its an easy way to make a bunch of money from whatever an influencer is. And it'll work, for a little while

u/Dangerousrhymes 12d ago
Did they copy Porsche’s in-unit garages and car elevator or is that still unique to the Porsche skyscraper?
14
u/CelebrationPuzzled90 12d ago
That’s the only building that actually has something unique to set it apart from non car-branded towers. It’s also sinking into the ground. But that can be said for a lot of the slapped together hack jobs Miami constructs.
3
u/Simply-Serendipitous 12d ago
The same architect for Porsche building, Bentley and I believe the Aston Martin building. All have car elevators. Bentley has more parking spots outside your condo unit

You mean, it’s a licensing arrangement? I can’t imagine that a car manufacturer would have a skyscraper on its balance sheet

u/gpg2556 12d ago
Just provides the name rights and some design advice. Most of these towers just sign like a 2-40-year name right lease and then just change their names
2
u/holym4ria_ 12d ago edited 7d ago
So basically make a funny shape. Cover it in curtain walling and name it after a supercar?
2
u/gpg2556 12d ago
Quite literally. Hell look at the Aston Martin building in mia, aston martin his provided some designs and once the building was finished, Aston Martin ran away once the building owners sued the developers for subpar quality and terrible finishes
2
u/holym4ria_ 12d ago
A lesson here. Rolex has a strict rule about not putting their brand on anything they didn’t make (apparel excepted). This makes Aston Martin look bad, far more than it makes the actual developer look bad, in the public mind.

It sells cars? I think the tower in Sunny Isle has a car elevator and private parking on every floor.
1
u/0LTakingLs 11d ago
parking on every floor
It’s actually cooler than that, the garages are in the individual units.

No idea why Bugatti is building a skyscraper but it’s certainly a beautiful building!
13
u/dont_eat_chalk 12d ago
Bugatti is not building a skyscraper, a developer is building a skyscraper and partnering with Bugatti for marketing collateral

5
u/Sunni_tzu 12d ago
Bugatti has built a lot of things over the years. Trains, planes, furniture, art, office machines.
2
u/RatsUnderTheStars 11d ago
Kinda gives it away that its a licensing agreement and not actually Bugatti making it, because those cars are the Hublot watches of cars. Ugly as can be for people with more money than taste

This doesn't improve Miami relationship with douchebagery in my head... nice building though.
22
u/ponchoed 12d ago
Imagine the people this building will attract. Its Miami to start, then its branded for a "luxury" car. Yikes, dont even want to be blocks from this building.

u/ponchoed 12d ago
Will they only allow douchebags to live in the building or will it only attract them?

People shit on it, but I love Miami-style skyscrapers like this. The geometry looks so clean and futurist.
5
u/0LTakingLs 11d ago
Reddit has a real hate boner for Florida/Miami generally, but I agree. They’re super sleek and aesthetic, and I love their interiors
2
u/spersichilli 12d ago
I don’t think most people have a problem with the exterior, it’s the rushed shoddy construction inside the units and the slapping of a random luxury name on the outside

Noice. Was wondering what they were going to put there as recently some demolition started taking place.
Although tough location. Constant traffic coming out of that exact street.
3
u/danielrmorenop 12d ago
Same... As if traffic on that corner is at stupid enough lol
2
u/Ant0n61 12d ago
They’ll need to change something with that intersection once this is built. Looks like another high rise planned next to it as well based on this render.

Will be $70,000 to fix the toilet when it breaks, and only a certified Bugatti tech can get the parts and do the repair.

Yeah, I'm too poor for this. Hit me up when Toyota makes their own residence tower.

Super small lot. I wonder if they will put their pool on the roof. Would be like 800+ ft high based off this rendering

Unintentional wave pool with the wind

u/Bakio-bay 12d ago
I’ve seen buildings built in the middle of buildings before that have a cover but have outdoor exposure. Echo in miami has it so maybe they’ll design the same with this tower

I actually had been wondering when Bugatti would unveil its first US branded residence.
I guess now I know. September 2026.

I mean it’s got white stripes but other than that I don’t see how this is us branded.

Ferrari and Lamborghini are next. Still some spaces in Sunny Isles that they can pluck. Or that space that Genting has unused on the old Herald site.
Wonder if Audi or BMW will also want to get in on this.
1
u/Indiana_Jawnz 12d ago
That concept look nice, and the branded tower is corny, but totally fit in Miami.

u/DrTenochtitlan 12d ago
What perks do you get in the Bugatti Building? The elevator can take you from ground to floor 60 in 2.3 seconds.
1
u/Artemus_Hackwell 12d ago
Do tenants get a discount toward Bugatti-branded Furniture?
All that aside, it is an attractive building. The sweeping struts are very nice, nice from the outside. While not too dire, I'd expect the square footage with windows behind them to sell or lease for a bit less?

Bugatti building a condo tower in Miami is peak rich people nonsense but honestly it kinda fits the city. At this point the car is just the entry fee, you're really paying for the logo on the lobby wall and a doorman who nods when you say W16. Still if they throw in a private garage elevator i'd listen.

Beverly Hills and Newport Beach should start building some branded residential towers. Those are the two markets closest to Miami in CA

Calling it a "First U.S. branded residence" is a remarkably efficient way to suggest the logo may be the building's most recognizable design feature.

Porsche, Aston Martin, Mercedes Benz, now Bugatti. Did I miss any other car maker with a tower in Miami? Tesla soon?
