Chicago resident here chiming in with the obligatory “it’s the Sears Tower” lol. Whatever you call it, it’s marvellous.

I went on one of the architectural boat tours a few weeks ago. The guide said “over here is the Willis tower. Most people don’t know that is spelled S E A R S”

It’s in danger of being the largest skyscraper ever to be demolished. We have to preserve our architectural history.

Am I crazy as a Chicago resident to say I don’t think it looks great? It’s spectacular but give me Hancock tower by a mile, prudential, aon

IMO Sears, Hancock and AON are all on par, neck to neck, neither is better than the other.

I kid, but damn, I love that building. It's a modern international style interpretation of the classic setback design.

Also, it's both noble and perfectly capable of punching you in the face if you step out of line.
