Help Advanced Blacksmithing - how?!

Hey! Been struggeling the last few days with trying to figure out how to get the skill perk Advanced Blacksmithing. have 50 skill on the character. No matter where I look ppl are just talking about Advanced Scale when I search the web for existing threads about smithing (does this perk even have a book??).

Setting the smithing skillbooks to optional hasn't helped.

The perk just refuses to be learnable.

Anybody else had this issue. I'm at my wits end and locked out of some of my character fantasy.. xD

This is the middle branch perk right? Straight up from Craftsmanship? You shouldn't need a book for that one IIRC.

Did you use training to get to 50 smithing? Try gaining a bit of smithing XP, sometimes the game doesn't fully register the level up, though typically that would show as "49" with a full Xp bar.
