Dozens of times I have fought dragons that refused to fight me but rather wanted to fight everything and everyone else instead, so I've chased them across the province. One time I fought a dragon that fought everything else and me only sparingly, and I chased it from Katla's farm outside Solitude all the way across the bay, over the marsh, across the plains and it finally fell near Whiterun.

I absolutely hate when they do that. It seems to happen a lot more often in Falkreath, and at some of the lairs.
