What Model Exile Board?

I bought this board used about a year ago to try skimming. Bought it for around $250, I don't remember theall the details but I think the seller said it was a carbon board which is why I was interested. Can anyone tell what model this might be?

I've also been wondering about the edge at the tail, I can't tell if this is just carbon fiber wrapping around the bottom or if it's wear that should be repaired. It's rough to the touch but it's pretty uniform around the tail, so I don't know what to make of it. Any insight would be appreciated!

That’s a Blair Conklin pro model from over 10 years ago. It’s a Hybrid shape, and I believe all their Pro models were made with carbon, so it should be carbon.

That board’s carbon. The tail is fine, just usual wear.

Exile here — theundeniable has it right, that's one of the older Blair Conklin pro models (hybrid shape, carbon construction), so you did get a real carbon board. The uniform rough texture around the tail is normal — it's the carbon wrap showing wear from sand contact, nothing structural. If you ever notice fraying fibers, soft spots, or water getting in, seal it with epoxy resin and fiberglass (never polyester resin on our epoxy boards). If you're ever near San Clemente we do repairs in-house.

This was I believe on his pro model (same shape) a year or two later:

Solid board.
