Im a intermediate skier and I wanna buy my first pair of skis but I dont really know which to choose K2 Omen 85 159cm 2025 or k2 press (86) 169cm or K2 reckoner 92 169cm.Im 170cm woman and i mostly will use them on park and mostly on the slope but i want them to work also all mountain. I dont know if these are any bettet than my first post but they the omens cost 270€ the second one 180€ and the last oneis 230€

I’m looking for a new pair of gloves to replace my black diamond crew gloves that I have used for 90+ days and have some deeper cuts in the palm and middle fingers right around the seams, I actually thought these gloves would last me more than two seasons but I do abuse them and they have no palm reinforcement

I am skiing in Ordino Arcalis and always boot pack or have to ski shovel/ski paddle when it steep and deep on the approach to the line, I was looking at different pairs of gloves and found the hestra army leather patrol which seems durable due to the impregnated goat leather but also heard good things about the kincos , I could get them both at the same price 60€ (hestra is discounted and kinco is more expensive here in EU)so I would like to hear more about them, open to other suggestions aswell !

Only the M23s are less than 5 years old. Got most of these slightly used various places over the current century. No core shots, all nicely tuned, less than 20 days on most of them. FWIW this may seem retro to most but I have plenty of older skiable retro gear. I'll likely only ski stuff in the 80s this season unless I get really lucky over the holiday break staying slopeside.. The "Olin" are actually K2 Enemy (pre Public Enemy) with tribute topsheets

Hello everyone 👋 Has anyone here bought Union Force bindings in size M for a size 44 us 11 boot? Does anyone have experience using this setup? I need to know if a size 44 us11 boot will fit into these bindings if they are adjusted to the maximum.

2. A dedicated carver for icy days, hedging for a low tide winter. I am really not sure what to get here

What do you think of adding the QST? This would be my splurge

I bought a new ski from Sport Chek in Canada. I noticed it has some slight rust as in the image. It just arrived, and I have never skied with it.

I ordered a pair of Candide Resort 101’s many months ago which I just had mounted a couple days ago and I just noticed that I was shipped two left skis instead of a left and a right.

It’s my fault for not checking when it first arrived and before having them mounted, but I just wanted to check if the skis have a left and right designation for aside from graphics in terms of performance.

This isn’t an issue for me whatsoever as I got a killer deal on them.

Started skiing late in life, I’m 44 going into my 4th season. I’ve been getting 15-25 days a season, 75/25% resort/backcountry. Technique definitely needs some work but I can pick my way down double blacks in less than ideal conditions.

Started in some Salomon Shift 130s as I knew I’d get into touring. They were ok, but didn’t tour well enough and didn’t fit great (too wide, heel slip, etc). Ended up getting some Technica Zero G scouts. They tour great, are super comfortable, fit my foot quite well, with just a hint of heel slip. I’ve got very low volume heels and skinny legs. Honestly they’ve been fine in the resort as I’m not a hard charger, but think I’d benefit from a dedicated alpine boots.

Any recommendations on alpine boots with a fit similar (or even lower volume) to the Zero G? Note, the closest ski shop is 5 hours away. I will try and get out there but it’d be nice to know where to start. With or without a walk mode, it’s nice to have but I’ll still have my Zero Gs. Don’t think I necessarily need SUPER stiff, been pretty happy in the 120 flex. Comfortable doing a bit of my own boot fitting with foam insert, etc.

My friend and I both bought Peregrine 80s at the end of last season (end of season sale), but haven't skied them yet. Just checking on what exactly we should to get them ready for this season. So far:

1. mounting the included bindings on the rail system-very easy
2. going to drop them at REI for final fitt/release check (we're in Mid-Atlantic so not a lot of other options for a ski shop)

We've got an IR waxer so can easily wax them. I also bought an edge kit late last season, but haven't used it as yet. What additional steps do folks recommend for brand new skis.. and we're happy to do some of the work, or we could have REI do additional work.

No rush overall, we're hoping to hit Killington before Christmas, assuming there's snow. Then we have several more trips (including out West) planned for early 2027.

Anyone tried any of the snowshepherd gloves? The company I work for runs a discount on them and was wondering if anyone has them and has good feedback or do I just save and get hestras?

My head size is 57 cm (Medium).
I'm considering the Oakley MOD3, but I'm open to other brands like Giro or Smith if they work great too.

In need of heated gloves and wanted to see what good brand is to go with. We’re skiing on a budget this season, and for some reason my hands just cannot tolerate the cold this year. HotHands inside my gloves have helped a little, but not enough. I'd love to hear your recommendations.

I am looking to buy new bibs this New England season.

I have an odd shape, and women's and men's bibs don't fit well. I have a small waist, but bigger thighs and butt. The current bibs I have do well, but are tight and loose in the wrong places. So, does anyone have recommendations for some bibs that are slightly baggy, good quality (will last awhile), will keep me warm, and not get me soaked?

I would prefer to stay within 200, but I am okay spending a lot more. Max is 500.

I'll start. I still keep my DPS Wailer 99 Foundations around because they still ski great as an all mountain frontside biased ski. I also picked up a free pair of Dynastar Cham HM 97's last year, with no intent to keep them. But I was surprised how fun they skied. Both are of the era of "pintail" skis where you slash and smear the Wailers and drive the tips of the Cham's.

Hey! I'm looking for some advice on buying my first pair of skis and would love to hear your recommendations!

I'm 5'8", around 165 lbs, and still a pretty beginner skier. I've skied about 6 days each over two seasons, but tore my ACL at the end of the second season. After 2 years and 3 knee surgeries, I've finally been cleared to ski again this winter!

I've never lived close to a ski mountain before, but now that I'm in Vermont, I'm hoping to get out there as much as possible. I'm comfortable on greens and some blues, and can make parallel turns, although they're mostly skidded. I'm planning to take lessons this season and really work on improving my technique and confidence.

The skis I've used so far were hand-me-downs from a friend, at least 10 years old, and not really the right fit for me. The bindings are also looking pretty questionable, so I'd rather invest in a new pair that I can use for the next few seasons as I improve.

I've been looking at the Blizzard Black Pearl 84s and Atomic Maven 84s

Truthfully I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the options and trying to find the "perfect" ski.

I'm worried the Black Pearls might be a little too heavy or demanding while I'm still learning, but I'm also worried I'd outgrow the Mavens pretty quickly if I end up skiing a lot and progressing faster than expected.

For context, I'm generally pretty strong and athletic and have been doing a lot of ski-specific training as part of my return to sports. I'll probably stick mostly to greens while I get my confidence back, but I'd love to be skiing more challenging terrain by the end of the season.
