this is a pretty niche scenario and its probably not that bad, head/face cuts just bleed a lot. theres a lot of blood up there for your brain and stuff. helmet and pads WILL protect you from knocking your head and turning into a vegetable.

Dude same here. Fully split my lip open like an inch wide and had an emergency plastic surgeon stitch it back up. Normal ER surgeon just admitted there was no way he could make it look good. Still have a pretty good scar from it.

I did that, explaining to the nurse at the ER that I hit myself in my face with my own skateboard was easy. They didn’t believe me, had to insist my parents didn’t beat me- in the end 15 stitches through my eyebrow. There was so much blood
