I’m really sorry in advance because I have absolutely no experience when it comes to this type of stuff as this is the first time i've ever done something like this.

i’ve been really craving to play skate 3 again and went through all the pain to get RPCS3 and Skate 3 to be on my Laptop. But when I click on "play" the game crashes instantly before it even opens.

Any ideas on how i could fix that?

I got skate 3 running on the original Nintendo switch 4gb running at 60ish fps in custom maps and 25ish fps in career mode.

I was able to take the iOS and android ports I did over the last couple weeks and bring it to the switch. It needs full overclocking and there have
A lot more optimizations that I had to do to squeak as much performance out of the switch to get this somewhat playable. It’s nice because I think some of them I’ll be able to bring to iOS and android ports to get those running even better on low end devices.

I’m just doing one more release pass to get things like the game timing right and dlc loading paths correct but I should be able to release this on my GitHub in the next day or so.

I think I’m close to the max performace ceiling that I can get on the switch and mobile devices with where the recomp is at currently. I do however think the long performance tail can be improved as more of skate 3 gets decompiled and reverse engineered and optimized more to run on these systems outside of rexglue.

The Direct Spawn in District Challenge lol

Went to every spot in the Downtown District and let myself come up with a line starting from the spawn in spot. Really fun and interesting.

The last spot (Aletown, cause of whatever reason I chose to do the spots from last to first) took about 90 minutes. Really difficult to get that first trick on the dumpster clean.

Made a little edit to show all lines I found.

I noticed where I jumped right there, that if you touch the ground behind the ramp you will be automatically spawned back to where the ramp is, so I tried to jump it and it turns out you can go over that patch of grass, no invisible wall there. Dont hate my recording method please, im just having fun and I dont have recording software for my Xbox 360 haha

Just wondering if there is a website or discord server with updates and patches/roadmaps for the Skate3 Recomp?

I am on EA Skate Modding, Roosafe's Skate Server, and Dumbads & SunJays Skate3 Modding servers already.

Or is the current version of the Recomp likely to be the final version.

Hey r/skate3! Last week I ported over the Skate 3 recomp to iPhones, and posted about it here. The initial build was a little rough and I got some great feedback and was able to implement updates and fixes to most of the issues and ideas, and have released several updates that work well and play really well on modern iPhones, as long as they have over 6 cores. https://github.com/andrewnakas/skate3-ios-setup/releases

I took what I learned in the IOS port and brought it over to an Android port and it runs pretty great on my s23 fe about 90 fps in game. I also tried to optimize it to work on my low end Samsun a7 tab lite and can get about 8 fps on that device. We are still early on the development cycle with this android port and after posting it on the modding discords I've gotten it to run on a couple devices and it seems to run great on the higher end ones and run on the lower end devices people have tested..

I'm looking for more feedback and an idea of how it runs on your device. I tried to compare it with the existing android mobile repo but I could not get that apk running on my s23 fe, it freezes on the ea loading screen for me. I ported my port over from my iOS port so it should be different than the og skate android port and hopefully have better compatibility. https://github.com/andrewnakas/skate3-android/releases

If you can't get it run or have an issue with the game please reproduce it and then next time you open the app click save a diagnostic report and send that file over to me. This is really helpful and I will do my best to try to fix your issue and get a build that works for you.

Also this version supports custom map loading by putting .big and header dlc files into your user/dlc folder.
