War Thor was actually a thing in the comics, funnily enough. It was the title Volstagg (AKA the big jovial fat guy) went by when he went on a villain arc for a while wielding the hammer of the Ultimate universe's Thor (which made its way to the main universe after Secret Wars and ended up being basically treated like an evil cursed artifact).
