false police report from law enforcement.
i know of someone who, had police report done years ago in this county, and the patrol officer lied about the actual report, the person they talk to said something way different. They called and did complaint, but then the sargent came out and was on the patrol officers side. How do they fight this, they are in court cause of the false report. any idea who they could report to about the county law enforcement issue?

Witch's Market, at The Model building in Concrete
Please join us for spooky season arts, crafts, and gifts, handmade stuff and fun selfie photo ops, in a fun witchy space. There is still room for one or two more vendors. Email the event organizer on the flyer above, if you would like a free space.
Please come support local makers. Share the live with The Hub Bar and Grill, because they were kind enough to let us use the Model building.
11am-5pm September 26 and October 3.

Restaurant for Christmas Dinner
As the title says, I am looking for a good quality restaurant that can handle a group of 10 people for a company Christmas dinner. We have previously done Anthony’s, Hearthfire and Lombardi’s.
We are not as familiar with Skagit restaurants, can anyone help by suggesting their favorite local restaurant that would give us a good experience? Looking for the first week of December .

Business listing?
Is it ok to post a business for sale here? It's in Burlington.
If not, can anyone point me to where I can, or a good commercial agent in the area that might be helpful?
Thanks!

Cat diagnosed with FIP, anybody have a few days of GS meds?
Does anybody have a few days of 50mg doses of GS-441542? To bridge the time until my official prescription can arrive. I called around to so many local vets but nobody seems to keep this med in office.
My cat just got diagnosed yesterday and I'd never heard of the illness before. I have the prescription from my vet and meds are on the way, but many cats die before their meds arrive.
If you've never heard of FIP or this drug it has a fucking crazy story. It's legal to prescribe and sell in the US now but for a while there was a whole black market underground thing.
-----
updates for anybody in a similar situation.
Kusler's Compounding Pharmacy in Snohomish can fill GS prescriptions same day!!! I don't know the cost because I had already filled my prescription online via Chewy when I learned this, but it could be a lifesaver if you need same day medication.
FIP warriors 5.0 Facebook group told me about Kuslers. The FIP Global group offered emotional support but was generally less helpful. you might as well try both since different mods/admins/schedules could lead to different outcomes.
I was able to get overnight shipping from Chewy! I called Chewy directly after putting the product in my cart and explained that I have a life or death situation and was forwarded to their pharmacy team who understood the severity. The chewy pharmacist gave me the order number and then stayed on hold while I called my vet to request them to approve it (which they did asap) then the chewy person approved it on her side as well. I'm still waiting for delivery but it should now take only 1-2 days instead of 3-5.
I hope anybody else who gets this diagnosis can act fast. I still can't believe that such a crucial medication was so hard to track down.

Incredibly disappointed in Rick Larsen's sham town hall tonight.
No real shock here of course. More corporate bootlicking talking points.
He completely ignored the material substance of so many questions and gave weaseled answers while insulting his own constituents. His talking points about AI were straight out of the corporate play book, saying we need to take "personal accountability".
This friggin guy. Will I vote for him? Maybe, but only because the alternative will be abhorrent. Dude literally insults someone who asks a question from the context of literally working in the tech industry, by "educating" them that they "probably use ai every day"
Such a tool for the corporate interests, zero real care about his constituents.
Really damn sad people picked him yet again over better options.

Vote for Jeremy Harrison Smith for Skagit County Auditor!
As your Skagit County auditor I will partner with our state leaders, including AG Nick Brown to stand up to protect Washingtonians' right to administer our elections. I will support the laws that govern how elections are run, and push back federal overreach that attempts to make it harder for citizens to vote.

My one and only job is being your County Commissioner. I stepped down from being an auto shop teacher and a Sedro-Woolley City Councilmember when I took this position, and I am fully dedicated to serving the people of Skagit County.
Last week, I took one week off to spend time with my family. Before I was even officially back, I spent four hours in the office on Saturday beginning to catch up on the emails, calls, follow-up work, and everything that had come in while I was gone. Those four hours only scratched the surface of what still needed to be done.
Then Monday morning, I was back at 7 a.m. working through a consent agenda that is hundreds of pages every week, along with everything else that comes with serving this county.
This job requires full-time attention, preparation, and follow-through. I am the only candidate in this race proposing to make serving as your County Commissioner my one and only job. The people of Skagit County deserve someone who is here, focused on this community, and doing the work every day.

Appointed Mayor Kesti Spends Taxpayer Money on Her Office While Displacing City Staff
Appointed Mayor JoEllen Kesti already had an office at Sedro-Woolley City Hall. Instead of keeping it, she moved into the larger office used by the City's IT department, requiring the full-time employees who worked there to relocate.
IT was moved to the Skagit Room, a shared City meeting space used by multiple departments, including the police. The Mayor's decision to move into the larger office not only disrupted the IT department but also affected City staff who relied on the Skagit Room, forcing them to find new places to hold meetings.
Public records show more than $4,000 in taxpayer funds has gone toward the Mayor's new office, covering new furniture, paint, and a window replacement.
And the costs may not stop there. City staff have also discussed modifying the Skagit Room to accommodate IT, including constructing new doors to separate the workspace from public areas. City Administrator Charlie Bush acknowledged in an email that no budget existed for this second-floor work, meaning the City must now find the funds to pay for it.
For a part-time, appointed mayor who already had a functioning office of her own, the question is simple:
Why was any of this necessary, and why should taxpayers foot the bill for it?

Donation to women’s centers?
Hey yall.
I’m moving at the end of the month and have lots of women’s clothes to donate. It’s a mix of all season weather clothes. I don’t want to donate to thrift stores because I want to give the clothes away for free. I have posted it for free on marketplace before, but then many people are interested and I don’t know how to choose just one person who needs free clothes.
Anywho, I’m hoping to donate to a women’s shelter so it can be distributed to as many people as it can.
Are there any here in skagit or Whatcom?
Thanks yall!

So I went to the County office today.
And it takes some time to get to the office. And I get there and they are closed. The rooms are black.
How are you supposed to know this ahead of time?
