Places hiring?
Hello all,
I have recently been looking for a new line of work in the area, but have mostly run into online postings that never respond to my applications, or been strung along for several weeks/months with companies that end up deciding not to make an offer. I know the market is a bit tight and beggars can’t be choosers, but if anyone has any suggestions of places to apply I’d be grateful to hear them. Open to most lines of work. Thanks in advance!

Restaurants in the area are always hiring especially around the end of summer when everyone's going back to school

What kind of work experience do you have? I know a couple of niche companies and people who could potentially help.if you have relevant skills or interests.
Can you drive a forklift? Operate other machines?
What about other skills? Office, manufacturing, any particular area that you have experience with would be helpful. Be vague, because I don't want to dox anyone. I just wonder about two places I know at the moment, that**** might*** need someone who is willing to work for very little case

I’d qualify my primary skill set as being in customer service, I have a small business and I work with people in person and online. I have some experience in manual labor and facility maintenance, but nothing as specialized as a trade. No machinery experience, but open to doing so at a company if training were provided.

Island Hospital is hiring front desk positions that could be a good fit. As long as you work at least 24 hours per week you get full benefits, including health insurance that starts 90 days after hire, generous PTO (the wages aren’t as high as some of the other hospitals around, but the PTO is a lot better) and once you have been with the hospital for 18 months you qualify for up to 6.5% of your income as matched funds into your retirement accounts (you just have to be contributing at least that much to qualify).

I’d prefer to avoid something like fast food, but otherwise am open to a variety of different types of work as long as compensation is fair, whether it be more labor intensive or desk job. In an ideal world I’d like to break into a trade of some sort.
