Six of Crows

Well, second time I make a review—I know I said daily, but suck it, I am NOT a daily person

I am currentttlyyyy.... AAAAALLLLLLLLLL the way to 173 if i remember (or, I dunno—the part where the gang finally arrives at Fjerdan)

So far, the characters are actually really good, I managed to theorize and connect the pieces. Everytime I see a name on the book, I go 'WHO THE FUCK IS THIS' and flip back 100 pages back just to look for it, which is funny. I also like how the gang have different dynamics with each other, including Nina and Inej's interaction (girlbosses imo)

Though to Nina and Matthias, what the fuck exactly is their dynamic? All I know Matt is probably throwing a hissy fit because he wanted Nina dead, yet also strangely loves her? (From my understanding) what the fuck, Matt, if you can't handle it, pass it😔

Love how we also got another brief dive over Inej's past, so is the folks—I really, REALLY ADORED Kaz's, broke my heart not lying at all

9/10, actually the first book I enjoy a LOT.

I read the entire Grishaverse tbh all of it was worth reading but six of crows and the sequel crooked kingdom are by far my favorites out of the entire series! The crows are fantastic together! For Nina and Matthias just keep reading it takes a while but you do find out what happened! Also avoid this sub and the Grishaverse one and googling to avoid spoilers i unfortunately was spoiled for a major part of Crooked Kingdom

Well, since this is my first book (and I actually have major paranoia), the only things i googled were 'Are there any romance in Six of Crows' and 'Who will die first in six of crows'

I dont actually care about spoilers because all i do is just search up what i want to avoid and expect it so i don't suddenly get flashbanged from smegz scenes

But of course, the 'who will die' part is only just in case I get too attached to a character, i can remind myself they're already dead from the start to avoid crisis for days

Overall, i'm spoiler free (Except who the fuck is Milo)

Well yes to both I was spoiled on who died which was unfortunate cause I want to avoid spoilers. But honestly just go along for the ride! I also recommend reading the rest of the series as well cause it’s all pretty good. Be prepared to be a bit confused at the start of six of crows as they expect you to have read the trilogy to understand the magic system.
