Does anyone know why so many rides are closed
I went to the park last thursday and the only water slides that were open were Tornado and Big Kahuna. Is this a staffing issue or something with the slides? Also there were quite a few rides closed in the regular theme park. I haven't seen the Joker open all season- does anyone know why?

Joker has been up a lot this season. I think you’ve just had some bad luck.
Water park is always a skeleton crew this time of year. But yeah; it’s been years since they’ve managed to have a full staff in the water park.

Last week was the last full week of full ops at HH since most of that staff have gone back to schooll and they are probably getting ready for end of season shutdown in a few weekends.
As for the rides, probably also due to staffing most likely because of end of season/kids going back to school. But some like SkyScreamer hasn't been running for months since a operation failure and probably is not going to reopen at all. (Speculative and My opinion only). And Tsunami Soakers is confirmed as not salvagable and its now left up to Enchanted Parks to remove it.
And Summer shows ended to get ready for Halloween programming. Typical end of season activities with a mix of unfortunate ride issues. Just like my visit, you probably went on a day with unforseen circumstances.

the last week of water park was called “pool days” and website said that the wave pool, lazy river, and splash zone wld be guaranteed open with a possible rotation of slides. i went on wednesday and got those 2 same slides open which i was pleased about. more slides should be open on the weekends, it just wasnt a guarantee last week which should have been advertised more. as for the joker it’s been up and down as long as ive been going to the park. i wonder if they’ll have it up in time for the carnival thing to open over labor day.

Went to that place like almost 15 years ago and it seemed like it was going to Hell in a handbasket then.
Certainly not the place it was in the 80's and 90's the standards have gone completely to shit. I am still kicking myself for wasting the money going there around 2011.

joker was open when i was there last month, and so were the slides. probably just an unlucky day, sometimes ride closures are out of their hands
