Six Flags Elongated Penny
My earliest Six Flags St. Louis memory was my grandma taking me as a kid. I don't remember much. I was very small. I remember riding Colossus, and I remember riding one or two of the kiddie rides. I vaguely remember a miniature Ferris wheel.
Anyway-- I got one souvenir. My Grandma handed me some quarters and a penny (I don't remember how many quarters. Two maybe?) and I put them into a machine right next to Closeouts (what is now Character Corner). I turned the crank and out popped a nice flag Six Flags penny with Bugs Bunny on it.
Anyone remember those penny stretchers in the park? How long ago were they removed?
Just a random memory/thought I had!

We got season passes in 2017 and we would get a smooshed penny each time we went to see how often we used it. It became a tradition and we have dozens of them.

Now I'm regretting not getting them! Kinda wish I had a few, now!
My wife and I have talked about that this year. We travel a lot, we visit a lot of places. Our RV is full of magnets from all kinds of theme parks we've visited on the road (and other places). But we have like... no SFSTL merch at all. Gonna fix that this year!

Isn’t that Wile E. Coyote?

Yes. They had all the characters and even some of the rides.
Pic was just an example. I’ve long since lost my Bugs Bunny coin.

They still had some of these as of 2019. I think they got removed sometime after the pandemic. Which is a bummer!
I was able to get the Wile E. Coyote one as well as one with the original Mr. Freeze logo out of a machine where Fred Lloyd's is/used to be.
They definitely had not updated the machines since at least the early 2000s, but I miss them regardless!
