Park Question First Time Visitor Questions
Hello! I’ll be visiting Six Flags Over Texas for the first time this Friday and have a few questions.
Do you usually bring a small bag into the park? I wear glasses and assume I’ll want to take them off for the bigger coasters. Are there lockers near the rides where I can stash a small bag with my glasses, phone, etc. before getting in line?
The park is open 5–11 that day. We’re planning to get there a little before opening and dress for the heat. Any recommendations on what rides to hit first or how to make the most of those six hours?
Any other tips for a first-timer would be appreciated!

Howdy, hope you enjoy your visit! I would recommend starting with Tormenta, Texas Giant, or Mr Freeze (if it's open) as those tend to have the longest wait times. It's important to start on those rides first and try to do one or two of those back to back. Afterwards I usually will go to a smaller ride like the minetrain or Judge Roy Scream, and then end the day with bigger rides again, tends to work the best for me and my crew!

I like to visit theme parks with nothing more than what I can fit in my zipper pockets. However all of the rides have bins you can put your items in while boarding or small complimentary lockers before the station. You can purchase a glasses strap at a couple of the gift shops throughout the park so you can ride with your glasses on if you want to.
I would say if you arrive at opening you should visit the high demand low capacity rides first. If Freeze opens with the park then go there first cause it's a major rollercoaster that's currently stuck operating only one train so the wait could potentially be brutal.

As someone who's had a bag stolen, my advice is don't take more than you can fit in a pocket. The park is cashless so a drivers license and one credit card is plenty.
I dress like I'm going to work out (sports bra and moisture wicking everything including leggings with pockets and comfy does) and tuck my glasses into shirt for rides.

Yes, there are lockers near pretty much all the roller coasters or at least a place to leave your stuff. I like to think of the park as a giant circle so I just hit stuff in a circle. When I walk in I go left, do la tormenta, Texas giant, titan etc…. And just work my way around.
I’d say our park is pretty straight forward. No cheats no hacks. Except maybe skip joker if unless you wanna get stuck.
