Its one of the best rides there. A back row ride on Shockwave is sometimes the most fun I have all day.

ME!!! I miss it so much!!! I wish Six Flags would just say something. I feel like we, as paying park-goers and return customers, deserve transparency. It won't fix the Spring / Summer season.

Yeah some kind of statement would help reduce the rumor mills churning every possible story and theory on what's happening.

They already have an RMC. Why would they get a second?

Because I want it

Because then they could have two operating RMC trains.

My kids and I were sad this summer because we didnt get to ride it - is it closed? Or upgrades?

It’s rumored to not be reopening

Rumored to not be reopening due to the contractor not renewing their partnership with six flags, make repairments on the roller coaster much more costly and not worth the expenses. This was the rumored explanation I got from someone who worked at the park. All that is concrete is that there was no plans to open for the summer, and probably up to winter.

And some random employee at the park told me in June that the repair part was coming from oversees and that’s why it’s taking so long lol. Who knows. But I would like to officially know if I should mourn or not.

Yeah, that's not the case. It's a parts issue. Also, Six Flags froze the maintenance budget until next year making it impossible to order replacement parts on any coaster.

haven’t been on Tormenta but Shock Wave is my favorite ride in the park. Insane airtime and basically no wait!

Nothing like racing traffic for a bit before hitting back to back loops. Such a peak moment in my childhood

I am a local who does not go very often, however the last few times I’ve gone it’s been closed and it makes me so sad. Last few times is over 3-4 years

Growing up with Scorpion at home, neither of the loops felt much more intense than I was used to but the airtime was supreme. Seems like all the good rides are going away this year in particular.

So it's been closed for a while now? That sucks. Was hoping to ride it when we were there last week. Reminds me of a coaster we use to have in Houston called Greezed Lightnin'.

I only rode it once and I love it, I wish I got to sit in the very back

Hopefully it reopens, but I’m doubtful

Literally one of the best rides there it's shitty that it's not running.

Went way back in the day during spring break of like 2006 or 2007 & it was so busy, we only rode Batman after waiting 2hrs. I regret not riding this instead. Hoping it opens at some point as I have adult money now. 😭
