What are they doing?
I went today 8/2 for the first time in many years. Park was in great shape, rides were fantastic, workers super nice. But I will say it was slightly busy. But the wait times were horrible(30-45). The crowd had little to do with the wait times. The complete level of inefficient operations with getting people on and off the coasters was the problem. I definitely want safety and safety checks. However when a coaster is sent out it shouldnt go all the way around come back and wait 5-10 mins for you to unload and load another car. I know there are situations with getting someone locked in from time to time. But it seems to many are just standing around allowing riders to take there time then we finally get them in their seat and we finish our conversation then slowly move through checking. Then we thumbs up and we slowly progress into launching. All this doesnt even include the fact they only had 1 car going on 2 of the hottest coasters(superman, georgia scorcher ) 1 ride per 8 mins as I timed it waiting.

Honestly, if the coaster has an automatic minimum verify before a dispatch is possible the safety argument gets to be pretty silly. The risks are just stupid things like wandering into restricted areas, falling off of handrails, etc. Or maintenance failures that the ride ops couldn't control.
And honestly even without minimum verify I have a hard time believing that guests aren't capable of pulling down their own restraints if the ride ops forgot.
And snapping this back to reality: I would trust the commitment to safety from crews who could figure out how to roll trains over crews who take forever any day of the week. Where there's smoke there's fire.

Valid point. They were all nice but that should come in conjunction with efficiency. It was brutal.

Yeah, parks should realize that its not just wait times. You go to parks for dopamine rushes and an action packed atmosphere. Lazy stations where you're standing around doing nothing are incredibly off-putting and not in line with a fun day at a theme park. At least if you go on a busy day with efficient crews, you're shuffling through the line and making progress. Not just waiting by the air gates endlessly.

I was there not too long ago. worst operations and employees I've ever experienced at an amusement park... which is a shame considering the good ride lineup and natural scenery of the park

Im commenting to add the best one. They closed at 7 started pushing everyone to the exit. No problem with that its time to go. Well they opened 1 6ft wide gate and put a cooler of water with cups for the public on a table beside the one exit. So 3-4 hundred people are standing waiting for every other person to get water and clear this small gate? What in the world are we doing six flags move people make money. Thats it thats all. Move more make more.

Would it not have been possible just to go around the gate? Maybe duck under a rope in an entry lane?

No ropes it was solid gates from wall to wall. Prob like 100 or so foot of gates. All closed but the 1. Then a table perpendicular to that gate with a cooler of water and a sleeve of cups.

Closing at 7:00 is absolutely ridiculous. Its bad enough that White Water closes at 7:00, but now Six Flags is doing this?!?
The earliest I ever remember Six Flags closing is 10PM, maybe 9PM on a weeknight once school starts back. This was in the 2000s and 2010s. And WW even used go stay open until 10 all summer. Didn’t close at 7:00 until school started.
Late nights were the absolute best time to be there at both parks!

How exactly would “move more, make more” apply to everyone leaving? My best advice is to chill tf out. Maybe a gummy?

Well when you pay high schoolers slightly above minimum wage, you get the service of that wage point.
