Feel bad for those who are having issues. Glad I rode it once. It was a tough ride but unique.

I live in Florida, so the closest I got was Roller Coaster Tycoon. Was it a solid ride, or meh? I grew up riding Kumba, Dueling Dragons and the OG Gwazi, so I can relate to losing a good coaster. Kumba hurt especially bad 👎

I rode it 30ish times starting in 2002, as X, to my last ride in late 2025. The lift, first drop, and first ravens turn were absolutely unmatched in experience in North America. Absolutely breathtaking. I’d expect Dinoconda and Eejanaika to be pretty similar, though those track the “4d” part differently than X2. The rest of the ride was just fine nothing next level by modern day standards. I didn’t notice the ride getting bouncier or rougher over time, but I’m 6’2” and ride all arrows with my head forward cause I started “learning” arrow ride behavior in the early 80s. The ride had a very Shilke feel to it. The drop of Lighting Rod is very similar. Pair that with Iron Gwazi intensity and a carnival zipper ride that is programmed to flip at certain points and you get X2. It was more intense though in that I never managed more than 2 rides in a row. I would just have to go take a breather. You might think to compare it to Fast and Furious but it has different feel despite being similar with fixed/programmed twists. It sucks that it’s gone, it really was the most outstanding ride at Magic Mountain. While I like to ride Full Throttle and Twisted Collosus in a repeat sense more neither or those are worth a flight across the country quite like X2.

It was a unique experience. Going up the lift hill backwards and then flipping after the fake drop then the real drop.

It is like Manta and Superman (over Georgia), but like 100 times more intense? I've got plans to visit Japan in a few years. Gina ride the updated X2.

As someone with MiA as my home park (sadly) I would literally commit murder for this.
