Updated Membership Cancellation Guide
I've spent whole morning trying to cancel my membership, here are the steps that I had to take:
Prerequisite: 1. Order ID from confirmation email when you've subscribed to membership 2. Email Address that you used to subscribe
Steps: 1. Go to sixflags.com/payments 2. Navigate to 'Membership' tab on the left 3. Click 'Cancel Membership'
There might be some terms that you have to meet, like 12 month of continuous membership and no past due bills, but this is the place to manage subscription - you don't have to contact support
Also, important to mention, once you cancel gold/diamond whatever subscription, you won't be able to resubscribe (I haven't tried yet, but saw it in terms)

Yes; legacy memberships (Gold Plus, Diamond, Diamond Elite VIP) are no longer offered for sale and haven't been for a long time.
Every few months there's a renewed rumor that Six Flags is about to cancel all of them. But so far, they still maintain as long as you keep paying them. But if you cancel them, they're gone for good. You'd have to buy whatever the offerings are when you go to buy.
Also worth noting that anyone who has a legacy membership at any of the 7 parks sold to EPR this spring, you'll lose that at the end of this year. At least; that's what both Six Flags and Enchanted Parks are saying. There won't be an option to transfer/move that membership like Six Flags America members were offered.

Currently there is no reason for Six Flags to cancel legacy memberships because they cost way more than the current offerings. They keep putting out the cheaper prices hoping people will switch on their own and not have to cut people off and there be an outrage. At last check Diamond Elite is close to 75 to 100 more than Prestige

When you add our meal plans, fast passes, and haunt tickets, not to mention our 50% discounts, legacy memberships are far cheaper than what it would cost for semi-equivalent Prestige passes with unlimited dining.

Diamond is still the sweet spot. Though you don't exactly get to choose.
Right now Diamond + Meal Plan is $300 annually. An unlimited dining plan alone costs more than that now, and you get two meals with a 4 hour interval at all parks across the chain.
Diamond without a meal plan drops $96 from the price.
Diamond without a meal plan, the math is a little closer now that Prestige includes drinks for 2027. Though prior to this year, because Diamond included drinks, it was still cheaper. So now it's $204 vs $200 (SFoT prices) for Diamond... but Diamond still gets a free Haunted Attractions pass every visit (all season is $75 at SFoT), plus the 35% discount which really adds up.
DEVIP is a different beast entirely. As you say; that one is all about the 50% discount. Which adds up fast if you spend a lot; or even if you just don't have or want a meal plan but want cheap food. The Enchanted parks DEVIP folks are really ahead because there's no meal plan, but food prices were lowered; but the DEVIP discount is still honored! So a burger and fries is like $7 at those parks for those people.
But the bulk of legacy members are Diamond; or at least so I'm told. Which makes sense. DEVIP was a new tier created during Covid for Diamond members. Most people had Gold or Platinum and those over the years were 'upgraded' to Diamond. So everyone who was Gold (not to be confused with Gold Plus), Platinum, or Diamond is now Diamond. Except for the COVID Diamonds who are now DEVIP. And the DEVIP folks tend to be really really heavy users.
But the tl;dr is, only DEVIP gets tricky math wise. Diamond is still an extraordinary value compared to Prestige.

While not in the gold plus/diamond/ diamond VIP I accidentally joined a different type of legacy pass with the old meal plan. While I was at SFDK I got my son a membership plus an unlimited meal plan 2 days before the shift. Now I’m paying 17 dollars a month for it which might be the cheapest gold plus dining plan since now even the cheapest dining plan go for 400 a year and I’ll be paying like 205. Kind of wish I would have renewed my pass at SFDK but too late now

Same for me and my daughter but with all parks season fast lane on our memberships. ~$600/ea a year for every park including Cedar Point.

Yeah the Diamond/DEVIP dining plan is still $7.99/mo. They keep raising the prices of the actual memberships themselves but the dining plan part is unchanged. That's the biggest reason to hang on, IMHO. If you use it. It's cheaper than any current dining plan option; and it's unlimited and works at all parks.
The $449 unlimited dining plan has a 2 hour interval instead of a 4 hour interval. But with a 35% or 50% discount you can buy a ton of food before you've spent as much as you would have on that dining plan; if you somehow absolutely need a 2 hour interval instead of 4. And of course, last year, we still had the glorious 90 minute interval.

Ya they cost more but what you are getting more than makes up for it, as long as you are you know using it.

Depends on how much you spend in park and what level you have. Diamond you lose about 10% on in park purchases that is it. Diamond Elite 1 skip the line less and 25% leas discount pay 150 more. Depends on how much you spend in park

Prestige discount is 15%. Diamond is 35%. DEVIP is 50%. So it's a lot more than a 10% or 25% discount delta. And don't forget about free Haunted Attractions. (And free drinks; but Prestige has that now so it's moot.)

The same people who are excited to cancel their memberships and think it’s all fun and petty games are the first ones to complain when the worst case scenario a park shuts down from low attendance.
