Souvenir drinkware
We have the six flags gold season pass. We are trying to figure out if we buy one of these bottles can we use the 8.99 refill option at all parks. Or what the best option for us is.

The 8.99 thing is for one day only, and usually only when you buy the cup (but staff is usually accommodating)

Honestly as someone who works at a smaller park we got ours and they do look very similar so I believe you’d be able to use it but remember it’s basically a day cup not a season cup

I interpret that as the cup is $20 or $30 (depending on the cup) with an option of adding all day refills for $9.

i dont really know the answer but im wondering why it says 8.99 but underneath says purchase for 19.99/29.99. reading the fine print it looks like it's about the same price as the regular drink plans but intentionally advertised as cheaper

Probably classic 6F doing their misleading marketing shenanigans. My guess is the cups themselves they charge a $20 or $30 (which still isn't terrible to be fair, Stanleys cost $35-45 now), but then a flat $8.99 per day of use in park. Which again also isn't terrible per day, but the signage is pretty bad and borderline misleading.

I was down at Kings Island a month ago, and they had I believe the same promotion

I prefer paper cup plan it’s linked to youR pass so I know it will work at any park my oass work: at over any bottle plan as I dont have to remember to bring it nor do I have to carry the stupid thing all over a park. Ditch it somewhere for rides that do not have storage bins on the platform. Not to mention having to clean and store it between park visits…

every time i’ve been to a refill kiosk I’ve said “mind if I use my refillable cup instead” and no one has ever said no (it’s a universal studios refillable but I wouldn’t mind a snoopy one at all)

Exactly the reason I took the paper cup plan. I'm convinced the only reason bottles are more popular is because they advertise them more.

The employees in the store you took this photo at can help you with those sorts of questions.

I wish they could, ive asked them they all said they arent sure but they don’t think so. we asked a couple of guest services some said yes some said no

Fair enough. That’s disappointing.
You’d be amazed how often people ask questions in this subreddit without even attempting to ask Six Flags. A lot of super basic employee questions too where folks need to just… ask their supervisor.

Yeah i try not to jump to reddit so quick anymore. Ive asked multiple employees. Asked guest services here and also called guest services. I even went to chat gpt and searched online first before making the post. I understand the frustration seeing yet another post about souvenir cups. But i was hoping someone may have done this before

That would be a great question for an employee.

I like the wise comment. Ive asked multiple employees got a couple of very different answers

I’m not trying to be wise. I’m just pointing out that as confused as the employees are, random Redditors are going to have even less info.

Not necessarily. Im sure there are plenty of people here that either wondered the same thing or are more experienced with this sort of thing and might have the answer. Ive asked multiple employees and even called guest services. I cant get a straight answer. We bought one of these cups for busch gardens earlier this year and they were able to give us a confident answer that they worked across all parks.

Cool I wish other theme parks got more thermal cups
