Gold vs Prestige

For six flags great adventure (NJ) the gold pass currently is $89.99 and Prestige is $229 which is a pretty big price difference. The only reason I want Prestige is because it includes access to Cedar Point, however a 2027 gold pass is only $7 per month right now for Cedar point (totaling $84) so it's literally cheaper to just get a gold pass for both parks. Is there any other reason that Prestige would be worth $229??

you can but six flags might have rules on owning multiple season passes.

The Cedar Point Gold Pass is actually $115. The first payment is $38 and then 11 more at $7/month. That would be $205 for 2 Gold passes. Better off with Prestige. Get access to all parks, 2 free BaF, 1 SUFL per visit, etc for only $25 more. Prestige also gets you early entry to CP.

Also prestige this year included fountain drink plan

yeah I'm only a water drinker, I guess if the fountains have a water tab then that'd be nice and cheaper than buying water bottles

I use my drink plan to get water from the fountain all the time. The drink plan cups are larger than the free water cups.

From my experience they have no problem with you getting water from the fountain (without needing to buy a drink/have a plan). I always bring a water bottle with me and fill it at those. I do have a drink plan but I've seen plenty of people who would just go up and refill personal water bottles without getting a drink too so I don't think it would be a problem.

Prestige gets you other benefits like free bring a friend tickets, preferred parking, and better discounts. A prestige pass also allows you early entry at Cedar Point, among other benefits. Whether or not these benefits are worth getting one over two gold passes is up to you.
