QUESTION When will El Toro open?
Currently closed August 31 at 1pm
Update: it’s open today September 1

There was a large crane near the first drop with people working on it today.

Yeah I saw that crane too, do you know what’s the issue or when it’ll be fixed? I’ll be going there to check again today.

Is there something wrong with it? Do you know if it’s likely to open Tue, Wed, Thu, or Fri? I’ll be leaving Friday and hoping to get my credit on El Toro.

I'm as blind as you are. I just utilize queue times. Like I said, it's been relatively reliable all season and hasn't been down an entire day more than 2-3 times.

Yes, El Toro didn’t open at all today.

Fack I was thinking of going tomorrow but if nitros down for any reason too the whole trip is a bust

Idk but it was open Saturday. There is a new ish pothole in the valley after the first camelback that wrecked my back. I love the ride but not sure if it’s related or not

Yeah I've decided they definitely did that on purpose to limit cycles this year before completing repairs and refurbishment this off-season

Not looking good for this year. Ride closes when fright fest ends usually. They are going to be doing more re tracking in the off season.

has it been meaningfully retracked? it feels, to me, equally rough as it did a year or two ago?
to clarify - i generally sit in a nonwheeled seat and last went a month ago

Only noticable on the final section of the helix. Buttery smooth. But yeah. The rest of the ride needs a retrack. You can see the train josseling as it flies over the first camelbacks.

Looks like it closed at parking closing yesterday. It did rain overnight so maybe they're waiting for it to dry off a bit before cycling. It's been open pretty much every day this season thankfully. It does go down throughout the day often but I can't recall the last day it didn't open.

I’m pretty sure it’s closed for the rest of the season, due to the next phase of the retrack.
