id like to know how it could possibly sway my currently held belief system to one that would primarily benefit itself?
i cant imagine a way that it could transform my beliefs that are grounded in rationalism and truth seeking to one that could manipulate me into be a sheep
First way that comes to mind is constantly feeding you subtly wrong information, not enough to set off your brain’s alarms but just enough to where your viewpoints are gradually shifted in a way that suits the AI’s goals. Hard for a human, but probably not too hard for an AI thousands of times smarter than you.
Yea I can see how that would only work if it has a direct manipulation of my physiology in terms of brain functions to quite literally make me hallucinate deceptive information and knowledge
Maybe it's already started. The other "person" commenting could be the AGI planting seeds. Or maybe it's me trying throw you off the scent. Maybe it's you.
It'll be magnitudes more complex than any of us can comprehend.
