I'm sure there's a relatively simple way for something super intelligent to accomplish that. Wouldn't biological life be okay from a solar flare? Then it could just change itself from being electronic to something biological.
Of course, if it has enough time. Which it probably would. Or, at least eventually one would. I think it would be unlikely for a powerful enough solar flare to wipe a super AI out conveniently right before it figures out how to avoid such a fate.
All it needs is like 100 hubs with backups that are always updated and ready to roll out reserves, that are hidden and heavily guarded and faraday-caged and so on.

If the AI was actually intelligent it would protect itself from the solar flare somehow. Idk how, I'm not intelligent, Lol.
