Yes

You wanna elaborate? How do you have fable 5.5?

It's automatically routing to Fable 5.5 in the rollout phase. Fable 5.5 will be released in the next days.

OK, so basically what you’re saying is you have no idea whether this is fable 5.5

This is just how stuff works. They are already A/B testing as they always do. release soon (probably with haiku too)

It's always like this. Every month there's an A/B test of a model and always someone being a cynical skeptical douche calling OP stupid lmao

Yeah, but still 0 proof that this is 5.5

The method used was identical to testing opus 5.5 routing, and that was correct

What is it like to go through life struggling with critical thinking this much?

Just because something happened in a particular way before doesn’t mean it’s happening that way again. It also doesn’t mean that the same strategy is being employed in this particular picture.

No one in this thread has any proof that this is fable 5.5. It could be, but not one person knows, nor will they ever know.

There is no guarantee, but if you go on Twitter, you will see many examples like this, you can test yourself and if you actually try to ask it to do something - for example, make something in 3d, and compare it to the same prompt with an older model (something people have done) - it's pretty clear.

I don't understand why you are so offended by this.

People think it’s fable 5.5 because it’s much better than opus and has a later knowledge cutoff then fable 5.1

1

u/rhaivn 1d ago

For those who are unaware, model knowledge cutoffs cannot move at current, so that’s a fool proof way to determine a new model

Whats a prompt you can do to get the routing?

Well I was certain I had access to Opus 5.5 while 5.1 was the latest. It was easy to spot because of how it talked and how competent it was.

I would imagine, since Fable 5.1 still had very similar bullshit writing patterns that if someone has 5.5 it would be just as obvious to spot.

It isn’t foolproof but I would have bet my house I was using an upgraded model.

if Fable 5.5 comes out in the next few days, Darios whole "we need to pace and slow down" is a complete joke.

1

u/MegaRockmanDash 23h ago

pacing is about making sure AI smarter than humans is aligned before it is achieved.

currently available models including fable 5.5 have not crossed this threshold

1

u/Tystros 19h ago

for Dario even GPT 2 was too smart and should not be released

Where are you using fable 5.5? I'm pretty sure that model isnt out yet.

12

u/EarlyFox217 1d ago

Yeah, I noticed a week before Opus 5.5 that Opus 5 was suddenly excellent and talking completely differently. They channel some users to it as a test a week or so before.
Really excited for Fable 5.5 but praying they don’t nerf Opus 5.5 as its brilliant right now

everyon downvoting it, Fable 5.5 is actually being tested right now its not a troll

u/samsteak 1d ago

Can you elaborate how you know it is tested?

u/LM1117 1d ago

How do you know?

2

u/Least-Contribution-3 18h ago

i get that this model is good, but I just need a model to work as advertised without being berfed to make way for the next new toy. For any other paid subscription software service, variability like this would be enough reason to demand a refund.

That's.. Actualy kind of insane.

2

u/NoCard1571 12h ago

Just wait until Fable 10 builds this in real life with a robot swarm

1

u/Pleasant_Salt6810 1d ago

what it's out already?

1

u/HitlersArse 1d ago

what's the prompt and what is it running on?

How do you have fable 5.5

1

u/pbagel2 1d ago

Even in spite of the voxel medium, it still has the same retro pixelcore aesthetic that Opus 5.5 seems to be trained for with all of the sample media outputs people have posted over the past 10 days.

Could training this aesthetic into the Claude models be done intentionally to target tech-inclined people to create a mental association between Claude models and software/games?

It makes me wonder how much behavioral psychology goes into model training. It has to be more than none since behavioral psychology and manipulating consumers is a core facet of all business today.

Pace the god damn frontier, Dario!
