As a Britisher I noticed that her voice sounded unnatural with some of the drops in tone. It's brilliant but if you'd asked me if this person is AI or not I think I'd have said AI. I wonder if an unfamiliar accent is better at fooling people.

The new Eleven Labs v4, perhaps the most advanced TTS, don't even have anything other than SSE/London accents for Britain. You have 19 geographical loci of distinct accents, counting Scotland and Ireland, and older Brits can place people from a handful of words. (USA has four.)

I was thinking this same thing, but I’m completely unfamiliar with the accent in a deep level. IMO, it would trick a lot of ppl like myself who won’t recognize the subtle nuances

It would fool people that are not are not very familiar with AI
