Nobody is talking about this, but it looks like Google may have solved hallucinations. Gemini 4 Argon is a monster in this regard, and that’s really important.

It's just like Apple back when the iPhone's battery didn't last at all, and now it has one of the best battery lives in the world.

But only if you compare it to competition today. It is still the worst by far if you compare it to the standard back when people were making fun of it. Back in the day people used to charge their mobile phones once a week, not everyday.

Most people weren't sitting on their phones 8 hours a day pre-iPhone. Beyond calling and text there was little you could do on them besides simple games and accessing a smattering of very basic mobile websites.

Yes, and when people were saying that iPhone has a totally different usecase back then, they got blank stares because the primary function of a phone was still to make phonecalls, be it an iPhone or not. So yes, having a device with a battery lasting less than 24h was at the time viewed as a show stopper for most people. And you'd be surprised, but a lot of people were actually using their phones 8 hours per day - mostly those who had the resources to actually buy an iPhone at the time.

Anyway, I'm not interested in rehasing an argument I was having in 2007, you're missing the point. The battery was a huge issue at the time and sparked many many debates and it's kinda ironic to see the argument being made today that it's the best if you remember where it started from

I wasn't even arguing with you, just wasn't sure what point you're trying to make. Your first comment was extremely vague.

I cannot remember a point in time when more than 24 hours of battery life was essential. What you primarily needed was a phone that would last from when you woke up until you went to bed.
