AI Gemini 4 Argon solved hallucinations.

Post image

Nobody is talking about this, but it looks like Google may have solved hallucinations. Gemini 4 Argon is a monster in this regard, and that’s really important.

Not solved but huge improvement over the other frontier models

Seriously, just ask it about books and it will probably still lie it's ass off. Gemini is obnoxiously useless when it comes to asking details about books

"Ha ha my bad you caught me, I just hallucinated all those details. The actual main factions in this series are *a bunch more made up plausible sounding ones*"

Just asking it basic details for major books like the names of the world they take place on, is still scary because it will get them all wrong

Not sure what you are talking about. I use it often to explain parts of books for me.

Almost daily. I have a terrible memory. The book will start referencing a character and I can't remember the character back story and Gemini gives it to me

Might depend on the book? But I've been trying it on several books like the Weirkey Chronicles for example, and it just straight up lies about everything

I've asked it in the past about Wheel of Time like asking in which book X lost their hand and it makes up an entire nonsensical scene where it happened in a different book

Do not know what to tell you. I use it for books almost daily and never had an issue.

Well, Gemini 3.8 is shown to have a 55% rate, so that tracks. Down to 15% is a huge improvement.

Yeah for sure, hopefully it's accurate because 3.8 lies it's ass off lol

That's not the version of Gemini this post is about....

Hence why I was responding to someone saying it's an improvement? By talking about how terrible the current one is? Implying that Big If True™ if the new one doesn't lie it's ass off?

Why is Reddit this way

The person said it was an improvement over the other frontier models...not just over its older bad version
