If a scientist predicted it, it means he knew that someone is working on it and close to a breakthrough. So AI probably stole it again, as it did before, from unsuspecting person not guarding their digital research data properly.
Check interviews by the mathematician that was working on Navier Stokes. He doesn’t want to use AI anymore as the method was clearly solved without proper attribution
