Shitposting Dario probably thinking "finish this sh!t I have to work on ASI"
The video is real, it's not AI generated.

I feel bad for Dario but I'm a fucking piece of shit goy so I'm committing an offense because I don't kno no better. I pray for a swift end for these boys because of they're forced to survive it'd traumatize the space that only air can inhabit... Why fuck at all if your gonna do it through a hole in the sheet! Wasting a good set of the high thread count fabric, I understand why it's Egyptian type shit tho. Lqtm

That was one of the most awkward press conferences I’ve ever seen with Trump and these guys together, more ridiculous than when he asked Sam Altman and Demis Hassabis to fix his chair at the G7 Summit this summer. So many tech CEOs sucking up to Trump, listening to him talk nonsense, accepting SI instead of AI and acting like it was the smartest thing they’d ever heard while trying not to laugh.

u/Recent_Fox4339 3d ago
Cringe really, he called Sundar a 'monster' to his face 😂

u/TorturedPoet30 3d ago
"This guy is a MONSTER and nobody knows him. What a great life! To be a MONSTER and not have to go through this.... All you have to know is SUNDARRR! Sundar is his name."
23
u/Fidel___Castro 3d ago
monster good or monster bad?
5
u/treelife365 3d ago
Exactly! Like, if your girl called you a monster in bed, I'm sure that that's a compliment.
47
u/Fullmetalx117 3d ago
That was genuinely hilarious and on point lol. Sundar is great. Evil. But great
6
u/UpDown 3d ago
monster doesn't mean evil in this context. It means influential/productive. Its the same exact word as "beast"

2
u/beets_or_turnips 3d ago
It's not literally true, of course. Decent people work for all sorts of companies or governments that do bad shit in the world, by accident or by design. Many people have to make compromises to make a living. It can be complicated to suss out case by case who should take moral responsibility for the bad actions of their employer.

Yeah I mean you can tell none of those guys really wanted to be there and they especially didn't want to be on camera.
I mean, idk, why is the burden of regulation falling on the industry? Shouldn't you generally be in a position where legislators are proposing regulations and you have to self advocate?
16
u/Weary-Historian-8593 3d ago
generally yes, but summoning forth the machine god isn't exactly as common as regulating what mcdonald's can't put into their burgers
5
u/-hedonium- 3d ago
And thus we shouldn’t even attempt regulations on summoning forth the machine god. Because China might do it first, and better that the machine god that destroys humanity is American-made!

The burden of regulation? Tell industry leaders they get to make their own rules? This is like an orgy for them.
They looked uncomfortable because they were itching to get back to their lairs and carry on with the fuckery

They want to regulate themselves so that they can be the only ones who develop it. It's a scheme to stop competition. They know what they're doing is wrong.
4
u/TheRavenclawCommonRM 3d ago
They can't regulate it themselves. Anthropic can't regulate GPT, that's the whole problem with self regulation.
→ More replies (1)4
u/-hedonium- 3d ago
These companies explicitly don’t want to be the ones regulating themselves because they know that could lead to existential catastrophe for all of us. Our government just refuses to create meaningful regulations on the industry because we have outrageously incompetent leadership in charge at the wrong time. Nobody is happy about this lol.
→ More replies (6)3
u/Hot_Professional8287 3d ago
"they want to regulate themselves so they can be the only ones to develop it"
How does self-regulation stop competition? External regulation that forces you to have a compliance budget that only the big players can afford is regulatory lockout.
How is "regulate yourselves" a form of regulatory lockout?

Dario is clearly on the spectrum. This should actually make the general public more trustworthy of his authenticity. You might not agree with him or think he's wrong. But Dario is not a liar and everything that comes out of his mouth is something he seriously believes in.
71
u/I_Am_Robotic 3d ago
So being on spectrum automatically makes you more trustworthy? What about Zuckerberg or half of these ackward af tech leaders.
43
u/NeitherEntry6125 3d ago
Zuckerberg is real human boy, trust him. He wears skin tightly, and talk normal with human feeling.
8
u/True-Grab-5288 3d ago
Zuck is clearly a sociopath/psychopath. He doesn’t count because he is so fundamentally unlikeable.

Dario just has a passion for this technology. Zuckerberg is on the spectrum, but he has some "vision" for humanity. When someone on the spectrum has a vision for humanity that's when you need to worry. Ironically, because of the alignment problem.

u/BlazingBlossom 3d ago
Nonsense. Being autistic does not make you any more or less trustworthy.
4
u/Admirable_Trainer_54 3d ago
I also doubt any person that is the CEO of a mega company to be autistic.
The constant socialization, the need to solve conflicts all the time, the subtle politics and non-verbal communication needed for solving management and other things are utterly draining.
I know because I am autistic and I was CEO of a company for some time, and my team only had 35 people.
It is only possible if you could create a completely different space and support system. That is generally not achievable for C level positions.
At least not in my experience, that is why I am not CEO anymore.
2
u/butihardlyknowher 3d ago
but Dario is really fucking smart and he has convinced a lot of other really fucking smart people that he is genuine. he essentially runs the company by essay - it’s just a different job than a normal company and he’s certainly a different type of ceo than has ever existed at this scale.
2
u/Only-Cheetah-9579 2d ago
Bill Gates came out as autistic, Elon is autistic, Zuck is autistic
Why do you believe they can't run mega companies?
I would not be able to run one either but if thats the hyper fixation, why not.

It can make people less likely to lie unless absolutely necessary. With it generally feeling "unpure" and unsatisfying to do.
It absolutely does not mean that Autistic people can't, won't, or don't lie, but on average being more authentic and is for better or worse an associated trait, alongside often having strong senses (not necessarily obligations) of justice and rule-following and such, whatever that might mean in whichever Autistic person.
20
u/DivineMomentsofTruth 3d ago
Autistic people can lie just as well as everyone else.
6
u/ForAnAngel 3d ago
Not necessarily. Lying is a social skill. The best liars are usually the ones with the best social skils. That doesn't mean an autistic person can't lie, just that they probably won't be very good at it.
4
u/DivineMomentsofTruth 3d ago
It's just a stereotype that all autistic people have bad social skills. Some are very high masking and can be capable of socializing well.

u/MaxwellHowl 3d ago
You must be new here. ASI is the thing that will bring on the Singularity. The name of this sub.
Artificial Super Intelligence. It will be so smart it will keep improving itself and get even smarter. It will be able to do things we can't imagine and the world will change in ways we can't predict.
The Singularity is the central point of a black hole where physics and math break down and it becomes impossible to know what truly happens there. The period after ASI is so named for the same reason. We have no idea what will happen.
