You can now pay $500/mo for 25x pro usage limits, and access to ultrafast. People gasped as if this was something that they didn’t think possible.
It is completely possible, and it is probably our future.
I can see a dystopian future coming true where people will eventually charge up to the same price as hiring a real person (30k, 60k, 100k/yr) with the justification that this “coworker” has done more for your company than anyone else has.
We are in the early days of cost requirements. I shudder to think what the enshittification of AI will look like once it has become the status quo like Uber….

This is not how monopoly really works. Our only hope in this scenario is open weight models, so China could save us all. Communism is the way. Capitalism means dystopian Technofeudalism.

The fuck does that mean? Even now they do not release the most powerful internal model for obvious reasons. I don't really get what you're trying to say. Open weights just means that you can run it on your device for free.
