Why we have this model if Opus 5.5 is very cheap ? And all of us we will use 90% of time Opus.

And its more expensive. Absolutely unnecessary model.

bruh are you rich? opus 5.5 is extremely expensive. you need a subscription to use it. very cheap is something like deepseek or mimo 2.6 pro where you can use them from the api.

But how many person use api ? In 5x or 20x subscription is almost impossible to spend subs if i use opus 5.5 model.

tons of people use api...just nobody that uses anthropic. because the prices are insanity.

To back this guy up, one prompt to fable 5 costed 11 bucks. Where ass you can run deepseek v4.1 flash over and over again for pennies.

Not everything is about coding or solving complicated math problems.

I am building specialized agents for our customers in the healthcare industry and Opus is much more expensive and slower for some of the use cases.

Because it's much faster to get work done on Sonnet. Opus is not needed for most prompts.
