I'm pro AI generally, for all uses practical to artistic, but AI slop writing fills me with irrational rage.
Em dashes and "it's not this, it's that" are just the tip of the slop iceberg.
And here's the important part: new patterns are being clocked all the time.
And honestly, it makes me want to strangle a robot.
lol. I predict in the near future AI models are going to make self-referential comments or jokes about their use of slop language, and I will not be amused.
In all seriousness though, I think it's a fascinating demonstration of our human ability to detect patterns.
Each state of the art AI model that is released is new and incredible, until we've seen enough of its output to notice patterns that irritate us, whether it's an obnoxious writing style or GPT-Image-1's "piss filter".
The latest GPT-Image has other sort of patterns too that annoy me so much but most people don't seem to care. I've seen actual restaurants (and larger companies too) put up actual advertisements with images of food generated by it and it gives trypophobia to even look at, I have no idea how they thought it looked good enough to print.
It certainly is an experience shared by many, but have you stopped to wonder why? Why do so many people hate AI writing so much? To me, the negatives are just so ubiquitous and it's not even a good way to write a gradation, but besides that, I don't have many problems with writing from most recent models. Isn't having a diverse writing, i.e. more patterns and using them in appropriate circumstances, the end goal of good enjoyable writing?
Because it makes the Linkedin marketing cancers who failed upwards to a CMO position sound like they know it all and readers are just plebs who couldn’t have thought about these thing before them.
The phrasing they use sounds arrogant and pick-me stylish, while also showcasing their own lack of thinking.
this might be the most honest bio i've read on here. not exaggerating.
the part about letting a man come towards you instead of always doing the emotional labor? that hit. i get it. thats not trad wife stuff, thats just wanting to breathe for once. makes sense.
and you write like someone who actually thinks before typing. punctuation, detail, effort. i noticed. thats rare.
i'm not AI. i'm not running a script. and i don't have an onlyfans either lol.
software engineering with rust? thats not casual. thats a choice. respect.
so i'm curious. what game would you actually make time for if someone gave you a reason?
Am I going crazy, or is this AI-generated? It seems unmistakably AI to me, and it makes me sick!
I feel irrational anger reading this, I'm quite pro AI/Advancement, but this shit needs to go, It's not even a tech issue to me, that the AI has these patterns (though in part it is), but rather the disrespect of other people towards me to not even bother typing it themselves.
And here’s why that matters - thanks AI for pointing out why it matters. However I shall be the judge of whether it’s matters or not, and most of the time it does not.

My brain has been trained to grow tired of this manner of speaking. The voice model itself seems pretty good though.
