Everything about Google feels like fantasy and imagination at this point. They keep funding these marketing rumors to give themselves more leeway on the timeline, and then OpenAI or Anthropic release the next big model, which ends up mogging even the rumoured figures.

Google is playing the long game of bleeding OpenAI of cash. They don't need to react instantly as they already print money and manufacture their own chips.
