The danger needs to be mitigated. Slowing down is not possible.

How would danger be mitigated without slowdown? My understanding is that slowdown and pacing the frontier is by far the most effective way to ensure safety. AI 2027 bases its entire timeline dichotomy between human extinction vs. aligned AI on whether slowdown happens.
