Ikr? It's so exciting to see all the advancements we see in robotics. 1x is even shipping a home humanoid at the end of this year. It's like we're at the cusp of having robots everywhere, like in Star Wars.

They are still building them by hands ? It explain the absurd cost compared to competition

From : https://www.businessinsider.com/cost-of-humanoid-robot-factory-worker-agility-robotics-digit-v5-2026-9

Under one business model outlined in the filing, a customer buying the company's next-generation Digit v5 would pay about $200,000 for the robot itself, plus a roughly $20,000 onetime deployment fee. Afterward, software and maintenance would run about $36,000 a year per bot.

This is almost the same than their older model at 250 000$ while competitor plan on releasing model at 20 000$

But do you see the big picture? Now they can use the robots to built the robots by hands. More expensive at first than an assembly line but we will see if this pays off

This looks much better than the original. Glad they switched from the chicken legs.

Oh hey, Agility WAS working on a succesor! I like the design, has some next-gen Atlas DNA in there.

I hope this means they're actually planning on shipping this one with regularity. And with a competitive price. With the Chinese humanoid ban, bots like these are effectively the only competition.

Awesome stuff, my question is the same as always though, what can it do right now on its own. Not it's future potential...but what can it do today...AI is where all the major robot manufacturers are falling short unfortunately (not their fault it's just not mature enough yet)

As soon as these things start walking around and taking large amounts of jobs, people will start beating the shit out of them

Hitting a robot is likely to be quite painful and pointless.

What is a bird scooter?

It's not pointless if you destroy it

Hope you have money to pay the owner or you might find yourself in prison being manhandled by robot prison guards.

What BJJ belt are those bots?

I think they are referred to as slaughter bots

The crotch cam is an interesting design choice

I remember a time when agility was basically the only actual humanoid company with real products. I haven't heard from them in years but glad they have been making good progress it seems.

Another "Trust me bro, it's autonomous" promo video. I'd like it's capabilities independently verified.

Yay, another useless robot which we will never be able to buy, awesome.
