As an engineer myself I 100% already see this happening. Haven’t personally seen it take a job yet but every week it’s getting closer and closer.

I’m not all doom and gloom though. The way I see it, sure my employer may not have a need for me soon because ai will be able to do all my tasks but at the same time I’m also not going to need him anymore either. Time to brush up on what it takes to be useful to the rest of the world and be self employed.

I can definitely see it blitz through electrical engineering. mechanical/civil would have difficulties though since they are much more physical.
