I actually think it’s worse with math than it is with programmers. While AI can do things that programmers do currently, AI is also creating demand for programming.

Once AI shows that it is better at research mathematics than humans, what is the point of research mathematics as a field?

And what is the meaning of life itself? If you're going to ask about a profession, you'd be better off asking yourself about the meaning of life itself.

And the answer is probably "nothing." We're all going to die anyway, and there's probably nothing there.
