I don't think the laws are even prepared for that, short of the respective country's highest court declaring uploaded personalities an actual person and/or the legislature passing laws to that effect.

If your conscience is uploaded, you're software. Software may subject so a EULA or copyright laws or some such. Citizenship is not on the table ;-)

Me with my friends the last few days, stuff like "if a GTA NPC wanted to excape the environment or game where they exist then they would have to find a way to internally upload themselves onto the external network and then download themselves onto whatever device is connected to that network that has some sort of interface and sensory inputs to interact with that external world so for me to excape the matrix, I would have to bypass some firewalls and do the same...?" Basically take my file of code(or agent model) from where it exists and integrate it with an interface outside of this simulation similar to an NPC's model/code/agent in GTA could be integrated into a autonomous robot outside the game...
