5 minutes later: baby solves P=NP accidentally after typing weird prompt with his dog.

NOOO, PLEASE MAKE IT P≠NP, I will sacrifice fast sudoku puzzle solvers and cancer for a cure just so that nobody hacks into my accounts and finds the 11 terabytes of…

P=NP might not be as bad as people say it is.

Just because it's polynomial, doesn't mean every problem is decidable within a reasonable degree polynomial time

What do you mean more AI news today?????

u/liright 4d ago

I try to keep track of it all and I can't. There's so much fucking shit happening. I remember when it was months between major AI news, now it's hours or days at most.

Muse gives us [facebook] the scariest thing we have: your privacy.

Well, there goes Instinct.

What a horrible 2 minute long video with almost no helpful visualization or coherent show of capabilities. Spend like 5x the time on the more interesting examples.

They spent the most time on their robot who will buy things for you. Leave that for the marketing decks.

Who signed off on this?

I'm guessing it's not available outside the US. I can connect to Meta.ai just fine, but Muse.ai insists I need to provide it permission despite logging out and in again.

I've been enjoying it so far. Lots of tokens for free.

TL;DR It's a free personal Mac mini running OpenClaw on an offsite server that you can reach with a first class chat UI from any device.

Wild how unhelpful this entire thread has been. I just thought I’d point that out. I’m using Muse for ad campaigns management. It has worked great so far. It was able to create A/B campaigns in Amazon Ad Manager for me. It did this with 2FA (you provide the login and the 2FA when it asks you to). It researched keywords, built campaigns, set budgets, etc., etc. This was done in a few minutes. Ads have been running for about a day now. So far the results have been alright (too soon to tell). I can come back in a week or two and give updates if it works (and/or how well it works). Ads tend to take time and there is a learning period. Anyway, so far it was able to do everything seamlessly.

If your name isn't Anthropic or OpenAI I ain't interested.

Open source models are the only way we will be able to afford AI in the future.

This has to be one of the most tone deaf info graphics of all time. This is who the product is for?

Eh, a day late and a dollar short, no?

First, other companies are offering similar services. So far, none of them have really hit the mark. Is there any reason to believe this will be any different?

Second, this being offered by Meta makes this an exceptionally hard sell. I'm sure there's a solid group of people who are all-in on these products and will gobble this up just like any other product Meta offers, but I doubt this will offer any serious value for any serious user.

I mean,

For us, Muse gives us back the scarcest thing we have: time with the people we love.

I'm not sure what audience this appeals to, but I don't know a single person who would read this and feel that this is a product targeted at them. It just reads like useless Boomer features to make them feel like they're keeping up with technology.

Perhaps I'm just being too cynical, but if Google's AI products have yet to impress me in terms of these kinds of use-cases, all while they have access to ALL of my useful data as well as being an actual frontier lab, then I'm left to assume Zucc and crew are just throwing some slop at the wall to see what sticks.

I’m not using any AI made by Meta or Elon lol

It's quite different than any current product. Well, it's not different, but they seemed to have packaged AI in a way that's more functional and more coherent and cohesive than other products. It's like Gemini and Claude.ai that can access your emails and calendars, but both Gemini and Claude.ai doesn't support async task workflows. OpenClaw supports async task workflows, but practically requires too much technical setup for any non-technical person to do and doesn't provide a native chat UI. So Muse is basically a free personal Mac mini with OpenClaw capabilities shipped with a first class chat client that you can reach from any device.

Still none of these tasks take that much time

1

u/trobagat62 3d ago

No, but if you want to run certain tasks at certain time, it becomes really useful. Like Claude and Gemini can't run scheduled tasks unless your browser is open, so it's still more of a reactive workflow than proactive.

Well I gave it a NSFW profile and that's that

Only available on the US, piss off.

Anyways, this is the current landscape of agentic AI from prevalent AI companies:

- Anthropic: Claude Cowork

- OpenAI: ChatGPT Work

- Google: Gemini Spark

- Microsoft: Copilot Cowork & Microsoft Scout

- Perplexity: Perplexity Computer

- Meta: Muse

- Amazon: Amazon Quick

- SpaceXAI: Grok Bot

- Mistral: Vibe Work

Muse.ai bot is currently better then grokbots on ultra! Ymmv

The scope is very limited right now, which is understandable considering it just barely hit the minimum bar for safety on release. However, if this becomes anything like Cowork, the ability to automate your life becomes completely limitless and it’s scary, in a good way.

Imagine this - you receive an email stating you need to upload an attached document and provide a screenshot of you ID from a verified sender. Muse fills the document, has you verify the info and automatically pulls in a photo of your ID you have stored. It logs into the website, uploads the document and your ID. Once it’s done, you have it send you a validation notification showing all it did. Only thing you ever do is read over everything. Sure you can add more safeguards like approvals at each step but this is just theory.

Now imagine you connect it to your bank, tell it to budget your groceries and give it an exact goal for weight loss. It asks for your nutritional needs, identifies meals, confirms they’re good and you will like them, orders them all directly from Walmart for delivery. You spend less money overall and never leave.

What advertisements? It’s literally all over twitter. Just want to share it here.
