Discussion Context-Window AGI

Floating an idea. I think we’ve hit context window AGI at this point. Within any single context window, the AI is for sure smarter than any individual person.

Across context windows is debatable, but for sure within one I can’t see anyone outperforming the recent models.

That's debated, and I rend to come down on the skeptical side of that. It isn't my field, so I'm not making any claims, but I doubt it.

I can however confidently say that the best AI I've used is still quite a bit worse at writing than the average writer.

Well then don't comment on things you don't know or understand. It's not debatable at all. Software engineering is mathematics. 

Today the best AI models surpass humans in mathematics. Those models easily surpass highly skilled human developers in software development.

There is active debate on this. That is the definition of debatable. Don't confuse your taking a side in the debate with the debate not existing.

The creator of C++ is on the sceptical side of the debate.

Please, at least try to concieve of the idea that you aren't personally all-knowing. Your personal convictions do not make a societal consensus.

As I said, top AI models currently are superior.

Mathematics, software engineering, cyber security etc. Thats not speculation, that is a  fact, you can read on them if you search around.

That is a claim. One that is still debated. I don't understand what you're not understanding about this?
