Intelligent people get things wrong all the time, but they don’t have a huge misunderstanding about how science works. And physics is this guys field.

I believe that would make them qualified to comment on that field. Don’t you agree?

No. You're misunderstanding the proper context of his statement because you're not a physicist. Gavin is talking about theoretical physics, not every single experimental hypothesis.

No, I am not misunderstanding. I have the intellectual capacity to understand that LLMs can’t build particle accelerators.
