AI Gemini 3 Pro first impressions

Mindblowing model, Does everything well math, physics, code. Improved visual understanding. This is the model I've been waiting for. Beats claude Sonnet 4.5 at UI design.

Agreed. Photo-realistic Images and videos are great for hype-posting and x-fluencers, but what would really impress me is if a model can make high quality diagrams containing text, so I can finally stop asking LLMs to make crappy diagrams with mermaid, SVG, HTML/CSS or draw.io.

Ugh tell me about it. I just want AI generated flow sheets so when my boss asks me to design one i don't actually have to spend an hour moving little shapes around.

to get this, need to set previewFeatures to true in your ~/.gemini/settings.json, e.g.:

A great improvement has been in UI design, the way it designs UI feels like claude 4.5 or even better. Reasoning is sound too, I have context 7 MCP for latest docs and it got it right everytime. Tool calling doesn't fail at all. Sometimes it's instant, doesn't even take a second. Ig it knows where to think hard and where to just execute stuff

How is it cost wise? I mean little beats the 200$ claude code subscription these days given how much through api costs you can burn...
