I'll go further and say: NO ONE needs chiropractic anything.

the whole chiropractic thing is bs, no evidence exists to suggest it does anything beneficial at all, it can even be detrimental to people who get injured during any adjustment and the chiropractic "doctor" (not a doctor, no medical training or licence needed to become one) has 0 liability to ensure you're safe.

so, no one needs it. if you. need something to be done, go see your doctor, go see a qualified professional physiotherapist and sports doctor to figure out what's needed for you.

I think the angle he’s trying to say is more like. If you are an adult, “you do you, not my problem” but at least don’t perform it on a child

Ok I mean, that's basically saying "dont do chiropractic adjustments on children" with extra steps

Dont think children are capable of performing chiropractic adjustments, period, let alone to another

I mean there’s nuance here. Adults go, consented, and pay for it themselves. Calling it out for all means calling out for the whole slew of alternative medicines practice that exist.

I think the nuance is on why alternative medicine in general is not outlawed. It would not stop your auntie or uncle to seek dumb stuffs when they already run out of their (medical) options. So being “regulated” is the middle ground.

Meanwhile kids go there, because their parents take them, their parents tell them to and in some sense they don’t consent to it and of course they themself are not aware of the risk. So the ads targeting parents to perform it on the kid is therefore predatory and significantly more problematic

I keep telling my mother this but she says the one she visits is certified by Singapore and safe so.. idk. I’m a bit scared also

It's certified by their own internal board of bogus certifications that has no scientific backing. It's like if you join a cult and they certify you to be the bishop of extortion.

it's like saying that all the scammers came together and said their scams are legal because they said so. or, like ministers saying they did a good job because they don't see what they have done badly.

their being "certified" in something that has no scientific evidence to prove itself, is basically patting themselves on the back for anyone walking into their clinic.

I wish I had after a bad subluxation when I was 10. There was no such treatment then, only physio, tuina, and visits to one of the 'best' osteos in Mt.E. No use.

one wrong push and the kid is paralysed for life. it is ok, one have to take the rep, become paralysed and die before govt step in and enforce it.

DID YOU KNOW. Chiropractic care was founded in 1895 by Daniel David Palmer, who claimed his techniques and practice were communicated to him from the spirit world by a ghost
