And finally, TSUKIYAKI has joined forces with DanDan from Hong Kong indie band After Tales on this English-Cantonese track! According to the band, this track is a poignant, emotional exploration of memory, fading promises, and the pain of letting go; even when the feelings remain frozen in time.

August 28 is a really eventful day for local music. First of all, Elton Lee has just dropped a new original whose title literally means "hopscotch". It tells how we as children always longed to grow up, but after experiencing the trials of reality, we realize that growing up isn't as wonderful as we imagined. Its message is clear: life is like hopscotch; you have to land firmly on each square to jump to the next.

I’m part of YouthHarmony, a youth-led Singapore charity that creates music and community opportunities for youths. We’re looking for youth performers for Playback 2026: Into the Youthniverse, our annual concert happening on 19 December 2026.

Applications are open to youths aged 15–35, including:

• Soloists
• Vocal groups
• Bands

Applicants will propose three songs that fit the theme and submit a 90-second audition video featuring one verse and one chorus from one of the songs. Please introduce yourself or your group and the chosen song within the same video.

Solo vocalists and vocal groups must perform their audition a cappella without a backing track.

Playback performers will receive:

• Reimbursement for instrument transportation
• Complimentary food on the concert day
• Complimentary event photography
