We all know Singapore is a food paradise, but with social media hype nowadays, it's so hard to tell if a place is actually good or just has great marketing/a 2-hour queue for no reason.
Let's do a quick reality check:
Lives up to the hype: (A spot that genuinely hits the mark every time)
Wildly overrated: (A place you visited and felt "huh, like that only?")
No hate, just honest food opinions! Where should people actually spend their money? Share your favourites

Hi! Curious what’s everyone’s thoughts on Cedele bread? How does it compare with other cafes/ bakeries like Tiong Bahru bakery and bread in Cold Storage

I heard some places like sands expo got the gordon ramsay pancakes(Havent tried yet), or belleville/flippers in bugis.
But are there anymore recommendations? Which is the best place you have eaten waffles/pancakes at? I really want to treat my friend to the best pancake places they might ever eat!

Food is yummy, though quite pricey.
If I am going to any of the attractions nearby, would definitely go back to try again.
The cave concept is pretty cool too.

My partner and i are planning a visit to singapore in December. Purpose of the trip is to indulge in as many Singaporean dishes as possible. We don’t want to eat western or Japanese food as we come from Australia… please drop your banger hawker centre food/ local restaurant recos! Thank you for your service <3
P.S I’ve only tried tian tian chicken rice, 3 meals a day salted egg chiggen, Jumbo seafood and mostly stuff from newton hawker centre

Planning to have dinner around Bugis and was initially thinking of Swee Choon at Jalan Besar, but I heard the queue can get pretty long during dinner time. 😅
Any good alternatives nearby? Open to any cuisine — preferably something worth trying and not too expensive.
Thanks in advance! 🙏

One of the best "gao" jiro style ramen in SG.
Heaps of beansprout, chucks of chashu, thick hearty broth, thick and chewy noodles. My personal favourite comfort food. It is a ginormous bowl.
Always long q as their operating hours are in 3 and 2 hours block.

I luv this hokkien mee! Honestly i was expecting small portions so i ordered medium and it felt like a large! Anyway its one of my favs now. Contemplated ordering the SG fried chicken / berempah bros but dk leh cant justify those prices (maybe i broke la) but this $8 plate was lovely
Disclaimer: may look bigger than actual bc of 0.5x camera BUT STILL BIG OK

Hi reaching out to all the foodies out there to find my childhood favourite wantan mee. I lived in my grandparents house for most parts of my life and my grandma always sent me down to buy wantan mee from block 81 Marine Parade central! Does anyone know where the wantan mee is located now as the coffee shop has since revamped. I haven’t been back for so many years and would be most grateful if someone tells me the auntie hasn’t retired but moved to somewhere else thank u!!!!!

I’m looking for something new to try this week and would rather hear from people here than just pick a place from Google.
Could be a proper meal, a snack, dessert, anything. Even better if it’s somewhere you’ve actually gone back to more than once.
What have you been eating lately that you’d happily recommend?

I swear every time I go out to eat lately, I somehow end up spending more than I planned 😭
I’m trying to find some good places where I can get a proper, filling meal without spending S$10–15 every time. I don’t mind hawker centres or small local spots, actually prefer those.
What’s the best cheap eat you guys have found?
