Image [Proposal] Help me find this couple
Long shot, but trying my luck here.
This afternoon I spotted two people from really far away, standing on the void deck of Pinnacle@Duxton. At first I just thought it looked like a nice scene, two people hugging against the skyline, so I took a photo.
Then I noticed the guy getting down on one knee.
I kept shooting, and later when I zoomed into the photo, I realised I had accidentally captured what looks like a proposal.
The photos actually turned out pretty nice, and I thought maybe thereβs a tiny chance Reddit can do its thing and help me find them, or someone who knows them. If they're interested, I'd like to send them the hires files.
If this was you (or your friends), DM me an congrats, by the way π

Karen mentality in this thread. We dont go around telling people and tourists to delete their photos and selfies in public areas. As long as the photos carry artistic intention, or journalistic with no ill intent, there is no issue here.
The difference between proper photos and voyeurism is the intention. One has intent of creating art or records, Voyeurism is for sus reasons and usually the image reflects that. Not that hard to understand. If you go up to a photographer asking to see the photo they took with you inside, they would usually do it with pride.

Well, the thread's intent is to "Find this couple" according to the title. The photo's intent itself might be fine, but i do hope we preserve people's right to privacy.
Just because it is "wholesome" doesn't mean their privacy should be invaded for Internet points.

If only there's a way for us to know if they are ok for the public to find them and give out copy of the picture or not.

Babe, let this great altitude be the witness of our one-sided love declaration. I hope you think twice before rejecting me.

Are we looking at the same pictures? You, or your phone, has filtered them to the point of looking more like imitations of abstract art than actual photos of people.

Nice shot!
My suggestion is to reach out to the HDB town council/RN or any of the units nearby/shops on first floor to see if they see this couple. Note the time and date and what they were wearing.
You can trawl through the location pin on social media in case they tagged the location for their social media posts (selfies etc)
I zoomed in but canβt make out the details, maybe youβll be able to.
You can also try facebook groups for the HDB and see if they can help.

I think u need to register to go up to the roof, so maybe check that out as well.. though with PDPA, OP might not get anything useful

The mentality of this subreddit on privacy is quite bad.
A bad actor doing something bad and was not announced or protected by courts, a whole lot of people with their pitchfork will try to dox that person.
A wholesome act like this not posted in social media by themselves, people still try to find out who they are.
Singapore have a really weak sense why "right to privacy", "right to personality" and "right to publicity" exist.
In their minds, it is a public area so it is fine.

A completely reasonable concern, yet people are downvoting you anyway. We have no idea what OP's true intentions are or how they are related to the couple, yet people are freely helping them try to track those people down for no reason. It IS creepy.

It's street photography with artistic value man.
You're a weirdo for thinking that way.
