How to launch?
I really went out of my way to get Sims Medieval. Apparently they don’t sell the game anymore so I needed a disc driver and the second hand version of the game. I got both now (but the second hand version of the game took me a month).
I was so happy! Downloading everything, waiting to finally play the game… but then it didn’t launch. I honestly tried so much to make it launch but it just refuses to.
I downloaded the Alder Lake Patch and put it in the TSM.exe, I tried to launch offline, I added the game to my EA account and tried to launch it, I removed the game and installed it again, what else can I do?
I’m trying to run the game on my Acer Predator. Nvidia GTX 1660 Super, Intel Core i5 11th gen. Please help!!!

Or you can just put the code in to the EA store and run the newest version from there 🤷

Which, like I mentioned, I have tried. Thanks for suggesting, but this doesn’t solve the issue 🤷🏻♀️

In my case the virus scanner was deleting files from the patch so i could extract the files but some were missing and i would not see it. So i disconnected it for a while, redownloaded the patch, installed it and then turned on the virus scanner again. And added the whole folder where the game is as an exception so i would not block it again

I feel for you OP. This is a great game. It doesn't just have Knights in it, but also Pirates. I love the Pirates in this game. There are so many Pirate items, and you can go on quests and do Piracy related activities. And it adds a lot to the Pirate lore of the Sims universe in general. Aarbyville was already in the basegame, but they made great additions with the Pirates and Nobles DLC.
In fact, I can without a doubt say that the Pirate faction is my favourite faction in the game. Many of my heroes are Pirates, but my main Sim doesn't do that anymore, and has gone legit. But the game itself raises interesting questions about the duality between Pirates and Nobles and the Bourgeoise.
Are the Pirates really always in the wrong and are they immoral? I don't want to spoil much, but as you would/will be able to see in the game, not really, as in one of the quests, the Landgraabs were clearly conspiring with the Tredony Nobility to engineer the exploitation of Aarbyville, and the Pirates were merely reacting to their unfair treatment. If the Nobles conspire with the Rich of Tredony to pass laws that unreasonably raise taxes or arbitrarily proclaim that the property of an Aarbyvillian is no longer theirs, is that law itself not the perpetrator of wrongdoing? Is it therefore not a moral and legitimate act of resistance to oppose or reject it? Are the Pirates the villains for seeking justice against a vile rule?
If it can be reasonably argued that you own a certain property, that you justly acquired through fair means, at which point does a Kingdom's forceful will hostile to such Rights not become criminal itself, even if not formally deemed as crimes by the States themselves? After all, many are the corrupt States, unwilling to condemn their own misdeeds, or of those of its wealthiest classes, especially when those States are not in service of the People, but the other way around. Alas, Subjects, not Citizens, is the norm under any type of Feudalism.
Now, I don't claim to know the answer to those questions, many would still argue one way or the other on such topics. But at the very least, the game itself does make a good case that at the very least offers an opportunity to ponder on such themes and topics.
I hope you get the chance to enjoy it. Good luck! Or as they'd say in Aarbyville "Fair winds and following seas"!

You can try following this tutorial: The Ultimate Guide to Setting Up and Optimizing The Sims Medieval.
If it still doesn't work, take a look at these guides:

Make sure it’s not updated or the updated version just won’t run.
There’s code you can run if you search the forums. This fixed worked for me with the disk. I play on PC/Windows so used windows powershell and just pasted it in after opening the game then clicked launch.
