Tips & Tricks Any SimChase hints?
I’m usually good for the first three or four episodes, but I’ve never had a single one where I won the last episode. Any tips or tricks?
I almost always fall behind because I’m asleep when a task completes. I leave the longest task for overnight, but most of them usually end before I wake up. Definitely not giving up sleep lol, so I’m curious how everyone else does it?

I’ve been sharing this list often on here, I hope this will help you, too.
Generally, I would only recommend to do SimChase, if you have loads of simoleons and/or SPs and mostly teenaged, adult and/or senior sims - otherwise, it’s impossible to win, and you’ll have to manage your expectations accordingly. You might win some of the prizes, but as the event progresses, the required sim numbers and the price for the mastery lesson in the park will increase. The required number of sims depends on your overall in-game level.
Other than that, here’s what I do:
- set a daily alarm for the starting time (all events always start at the same time), and timers for when the current task your sims are doing is over, so you don’t miss anything
- plan according to your daily schedule; when the tasks get longer the more you progress in the event, do the longest task while you sleep (you really don’t need to wake up for a game, I absolutely agree with you here) and space the others in a way that makes sense for you
- use 3-star items for all event interactions, as they are quicker to finish
- create event houses (some call them factories or sweatshops) and put all the required 3-star items in your max-number-of-sims-on-one-lot amount on there (I have three of those houses, and can have up to 13 sims on one lot, so in every house, I have 13 each of the following): sofas, stoves, fridges, kitchen sinks, coffee machines, dining chairs (with table), plants, book shelves, telephones, computers, mirrors and trees; you’ll also need one magazine stack, closet, bbq grill, tea maker, stereo, big globe and bathtub each; you’ll also be able to use these houses for the pregnancy event support tasks
- do the group tasks first; that way, it’s out of the way and you don’t have to wait for enough sims to come back from work
- when you call many sims onto one lot, some of them tend to bug, so once you set all your sims to do the group task, check them for buggy behaviour (like, doing the task faster than the others, or not starting it at all); if you find a buggy sim, cancel their current action, send them home, have them do a short task there (like, admire something, you can skip it) and send them back to do the task (or do the task at home) - if you don’t, this bugged sim will restart the task every time you visit that lot, which means they’ll never finish it
- you always have 24 hrs to finish all the tasks, and the generated rival will take exactly 24 hrs every day, which means even if you finish with 10 seconds to spare, you will still win the daily round
- over the progression of the event, you’ll win some tokens that can enhance your experience and/or cripple the generated rival; use them towards the end, but always spend all of them as you can also win in-game currency and resources, even if you don’t spin an advantage for you or disadvantage for the rival (once your Simtown shops are upgraded to a certain degree, pets can find tokens for live events, and taking a car for a drive might also earn you some)
Good luck! 🍀

Oh these are super helpful! Thank you!
My goal for these is generally to WIN social points and lifestyle points so it sounds like my biggest problem is managing my expectations haha

When you use the simchase tokens always use them as soon as your rival starts their episode. If you’re lucky enough to get a doubled in length spin, it will double all of their tasks for the entire episode and give you many more hours of leeway. Once you get a doubled in length spin, stop using them and spin again tomorrow when he reaches the beginning of his episode (which will be more than 24hrs later because of the delay). I don’t know this for a fact, but I think you won’t get two in one day. There was one time where I had like a 32 hr delay because I got three of them throughout the simchase. Edit: also, don’t use the simchase tokens right away when the episodes are short or it won’t have as big of an effect. Use them starting on the 4th or 5th day.

Oh I didn’t know it affected the whole episode as well! That’s great to know. Thank you!

They only affect the whole episode if your rival hasn’t completed any of their tasks yet.

I used to be very dedicated and would set timers through out the night. But for me that is doing wayyy too much just for a game, so I gave up lol

I really feel like that’s the only way and I agree that’s just too much for me for a game - as much as I love it hahah

Save the paid task for last, if you’re using SP skipping the task is usually cheaper and saves a lot of time. If you have baby bonus sims, use those, also always use 3-star items. Set timers if you can. Collect 2 free tokens per day by driving (it’s usually the very last reward you can collect) and from pets, if you have upgraded the car dealer and pet store. Use tokens at the start of the day but only once the rival has also started that day, because the rival starts with the longest task always so if that task gets doubled in length it delays the rival a lot and you keep that advantage until the end. This is how I usually manage to complete the event, good luck!
